Council 485 Blessing of the Creche

Council 485 held its annual blessing of the Crèche in front of St. Patrick’s Basilica in Ottawa on December 10th. A tradition dating back over 10 years, Council Chaplain Fr. Michael Nwadinobi led council members, wives, and parishioners in a procession around the church while members of the parish choir sang traditional advent and Christmas hymns. After the event, everyone got to enjoy a delicious potluck dinner and Christmas cookies celebrating the end of a great year, while looking forward to the council’s 125th anniversary in January.
